Free online science communication giveaway tentatively planned for 10–17 October 2026
THAILAND, 29 September 2026 — Siam Astronomy announces an upcoming online giveaway under the Siam Astronomy Youth Project, supported by Everest Autographs through the provision of a signed Isabella Sermon collectible as the activity's sole prize.
The support was arranged directly with Chris Wyman of Everest Autographs. The prize has been identified by Everest Autographs as a brand-new POP! Funko #1215 – Jurassic World: Dominion – Maisie, signed by Isabella Sermon and inscribed with the character name “Maisie Lockwood.”
According to information provided directly by Chris Wyman, the item includes both Everest Autographs “Summit” authentication and Beckett Witnessed Authentication. Everest Autographs stated that the total retail value of the item is US$119.99.
The Giveaway
The signed Funko will be offered as the one and only prize in the planned Dinosaur & Science Communication Giveaway.
The activity is intended to connect an accessible popular-culture theme with astronomy, science, scientific reasoning and science communication for young audiences.
Participation will be free, with no purchase or entry fee required.
Participation Across Siam Astronomy Platforms
The giveaway is planned as a multi-platform online activity. Eligible participation may be made through Siam Astronomy's official Facebook, Instagram, website, YouTube and TikTok channels, subject to the final instructions published for each platform.
Participants should follow the applicable official Siam Astronomy account or channel and complete the participation steps stated in the official giveaway announcement.
Depending on the platform, the final participation process may include publicly sharing or reposting the official activity announcement where that feature is available and submitting an answer to the announced science communication question through the method specified by Siam Astronomy.
The final question and platform-specific instructions will be published approximately 24 hours before the giveaway begins.
Provisional Schedule
The giveaway is currently targeted to open on 10 October 2026 and close on 17 October 2026.
These dates are provisional and may change because of prize availability or arrival, logistical circumstances or additional preparation requirements.
If the opening date changes, the final details are expected to be published approximately 24 hours before the revised opening.
Selection of One Recipient
There will be one prize and one selected recipient only. The activity is not intended to use a random draw.
The final criteria are expected to consider scientific accuracy, creativity, clarity, accessibility of the explanation, relevance to the question and compliance with the published requirements.
Likes, reactions, follower counts or other popularity metrics are not expected to determine the result.
Only one recipient will be selected and announced for the entire giveaway, regardless of the platform used to participate.
The final selection will be made by the Siam Astronomy team in accordance with the published activity rules and selection criteria.
Winner Announcement and 72-Hour Confirmation
The public winner announcement will identify the selected recipient only by the username/account name and public profile associated with the qualifying entry.
Siam Astronomy does not intend to publish the recipient's private contact information, home address, telephone number, email address or other non-public personal information as part of the winner announcement.
The announcement will invite the selected recipient to contact Siam Astronomy. The selected recipient will have 72 hours from the winner announcement to make contact through siamastronomy@gmail.com or by private Inbox/direct message to an official Siam Astronomy account.
The final rules will explain the applicable confirmation procedure if the selected recipient does not make contact within that period.
Private Verification, Personal Information and Delivery
Once the selected recipient makes contact, all subsequent verification and delivery communications involving personal information will take place privately by email or private Inbox/direct message.
Participants must not post home addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses or other private delivery information publicly.
Siam Astronomy will request only information reasonably necessary to verify the qualifying entry and arrange delivery, such as the recipient/shipping name, delivery address and contact information required for shipment.
Siam Astronomy intends to keep such information private and not disclose it publicly, except where disclosure is reasonably necessary to a delivery or service provider for the purpose of fulfilling the prize delivery or where otherwise required by applicable law.
Where appropriate for a youth participant, additional private confirmation may be requested before dispatch.
Siam Astronomy will provide delivery of the prize to the selected recipient at no charge to the recipient, subject to the final giveaway terms and any stated delivery limitations.
